We love the summers...we always have so much to do and we have so much fun doing it all. And now that the Oreo is a little bigger we were able to do a little more this year. We started out our summer with the Brownie's graduation.
He worked so hard and it all the paid off.He was able to graduate with honors and we had a wonderful day celebrating his success.
This was a morning breakfast at the Brownie's school.
Going on a school tour.
A true graduate! Congratulations
This beautiful clock was given to the Brownie as a graduation gift by his grandparents.
Our next big summer activity was the Oreo's first camping trip. We have never seen our little Oreo so occupied or so dirty so far.
The first thing the Oreo does is go straight for the dirt. He wastes no time at all and within minutes he is covered head to toe in dirt.
The Oreo's other favorite activity was collecting sticks and swinging in his uncle's hammock.
Okay so maybe he was a little unsure of the hammock but at least he tried it out. The Oreo also went on a hike and played in the river that was nearby.
The water was so cold that he could only stand in the water for about 10 seconds but he still had fun.
Even the Brownie had fun exploring by the river.
After playing in the dirt, sun, and woods...we were all ready to have a nice dinner and good conversation around the camp fire.
One of the Oreo's Uncle made him a spoon out of wood and coals.
After all of our fun we finally made it off to bed. The Oreo slept good until he somehow rolled out of his sleeping bag and all of his layers of clothes and blankets. That's when he had to come to bed with us. The Brownie and I were glad when morning finally came.
The Oreo had so much fun that he did not want to go home. And he revolted our efforts to pack up and leave.
And yes he did this himself.
Thanks Grandma and Grandpa for a great camping trip!
