Starting a Blog

We would have to say the idea of blogging came to us in a very sudden way. We realized that we sometimes don't express what is going on in our lives very well to our family and friends. So, we thought a blog would be a great idea. Now, let's begin.....

Planting, Planting, and more Planting

Every year in the month of May is a very busy month for us. May is the month of planting the Brownie's dad's several cemeteries and mortuaries in our area. We are never sure why we get ourselves into this but we do it every year.

We are going to take you on our journey of planting.

We start with several flats of flowers.

This year we did things a little differently. Usually we each take our own flat and then pop the flowers as we go. But this year the Muffin went up early and started popping flowers before the Brownie got there. Planting goes much faster once the flowers our popped.

Once the flowers our popped, we plant!

And plant some more.

There is never a year that goes by when we plant that we don't end up with really dirty pants,

 holes in our jeans,

and dirty fingers even when we wear gloves.

After we finish with each flat we toss it aside and go on to the next one.

And before we know it we are halfway!

We were lucky this time because we even had a little bit of help.

And after 2 days we finally finished this huge circle of flowers.

All our empty flats and believe it or not this was only the beginning of our planting.

Last step the watering

Now we can go home and get a good night sleep and get ready for the next day of planting.

March Madness!!!

Okay so our March Madness is not just about basketball but about our adventures with our family. We know we said we were going to do better about keeping up on our adventures but lets face it, we dropped the ball on this one again. So here we go again... we will and can do better so bare with us while we take you back a few months.

Every year the Brownies family heads to Saint George Utah for a little fun. We missed last year because the Muffin was almost 9 months pregnant and did not feel like going on such a long drive so we were excited to go with nothing really holding us back.

We were a little worried about the drive but the Oreo did awesome! We did not have any troubles at all. And when we got there he got his first ride on a luggage cart (or as some say a bell cart) which he was pretty jazzed about.

After we got settled the next two days were spent swimming and playing at the Family Fun Center. We had so much fun! The Oreo was really worn out by the time all the fun ended.

Our little Oreo looks so serious but he is having more fun then he lets on.

He was not sure what to think when we put him on top of the waterfall either.

There was not a lot for the Oreo to do at the Family Fun Center but he still managed to find the rocks to play with. He is such a boy. You can tell how tired he was feeling when you look at this picture... this was the last activity that we did before starting our journey home.

While the Oreo was playing in the rocks and looking a little grumpy. The Brownie and the Muffin were doing some other fun things. We went on the go carts which was really fun. The Brownie kept trying to pass the Muffin. However, she did her best to keep him from passing but in the end he made it past her anyway. We also did the squirt boats... the Muffin's goal was to not get wet and for the most part did pretty good even when the Brownie gained up on her.

After we were done playing in the water we put the Oreo in front of one of the car rides. We guess he could have driven his first car if the ride would have been open. Maybe it was a good thing that it wasn't.

We had a really great time!
